White Belt

White signifies innocence, as that of a beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Tae Kwon Do.

Since this is your first belt, you will need to know how to tie it. Follow these simple instructions.

Four Count Side Kick

Kam-Sah Form meaning "appreciation"

White Belt Basics number 4, 5 and 6

One Step Sparring

Gold Belt Test Procedure

In order to be promoted to gold belt, a student must attend at least 18 classes and get an instructor recommendation. This will be the student's first formal testing and will be conducted on scheduled pre-testing and testing dates. The student must know this curriculum:

  1. Four Count Side Kick
  2. Kam-Sah form
  3. White Belt basics 4, 5 and 6
  4. One step sparring 4, 5 and 6

Students must present their updated curriculum book before promotion. They must wear a clean and pressed uniform with all required patches at their promotion test.

Gold belt students are required to bring footgear with them to every class. Foot gear can be purchased at the Third Coast Martial Arts main office.
